Hi. I'm Tanya

Hi. I'm Tanya

I grew up in South Africa and have been stitching and knitting since childhood, but it wasn’t until I moved to England in 1993 that a whole new world of needlework, and all that it had to offer, opened up to me.

For the past 23 years I have been a full time mother of three and my stitching kept me sane, but my children are now growing up and leaving home giving me more time to focus on my designing and teaching.  I really enjoy counted thread work, but also love the free-form nature of silk ribbon and dimensional embroidery.

I started teaching about 18 years ago and run regular classes from home. I also teach at Guilds and offer full day workshops to any group who is willing to organise one and have me travel to teach them.

What started out as a hobby has now turned into a full time business. I love what I do, so much so, that it just doesn’t feel like a job.
