This design incorporates a little bit of everything: silk ribbon, beautiful hand dyed threads and a splash of fabric painting.  I love watching the bees as they fly around the garden going about their business, but I am also concerned that they appear to be struggling at the moment.  If I were to keep bees, I would want to keep them in a lovely old beehive like this one.  This beehive is painted using watercolour paints, or watercolour pencils and is painted before it is stitched.  Then using beautiful hand painted silk ribbons and threads, create a garden perfect for bees.  The kit includes all the silk ribbons and threads, a full set of instructions with colour stitch diagrams, needles and the design screened onto the fabric with backing muslin.

This kit includes the pattern printed onto fabric, muslin for backing and a full set of instructions with colour photographs and stitch diagrams.  The ribbons are not included, giving you the chance to use ribbons and colours of your choice.

To complete the kit you will need a pair of small pair of needlework scissors and 8″ embroidery hoop. These can all be bought from The Haberdashery
